Nicolas Poitras-Gamache is a cinematographer based in Montreal. He has contributed to the visual of several internationally acclaimed projects. He was inspired by the ski and skate community he grew up in. He was shaped by the spirit and the story behind every trip to the mountain or "spots" where they were filming. These more documentary-style videos were a way to seek great imagery and the story behind each project, which inspired him to pursue studies and a career in cinematography.

Nowadays, more establish for his fictional, commercial and music video work, his diversity of work makes him someone who can create and understand light environnement so he can play with it in cohabitation with the storytelling of the project. He stands out for his ability to create a strong visual identity tailored to each script. He is esteemed for his vision, artistic approach to storytelling, and collaborative ethos.

Nicolas Poitras-Gamache est un directeur de la photographie basé à Montréal. Il a contribué à l’esthétique visuelle de plusieurs projets acclamés internationalement. Il s'est inspiré de la communauté du ski et du skate dans laquelle il a grandi. Il a été forgé par l'esprit et l'histoire derrière chaque voyage à la montagne ou chaque « spot » où ils filmaient. Ces vidéos au style plus documentaire étaient une manière de rechercher de superbes images et l’histoire derrière chaque projet, ce qui l’a inspiré à poursuivre des études et une carrière en cinématographie.

De nos jours, plus reconnu pour son travail dans la fiction, la publicité et les clips musicaux, sa diversité de créations fait de lui quelqu'un qui peut créer et comprendre les environnements lumineux, afin de jouer avec la lumière en harmonie avec la narration du projet. Il se distingue par sa capacité à créer une identité visuelle forte, adaptée à chaque scénario. Il est estimé pour sa vision, son approche artistique de la narration et son éthique collaborative.
